Born in England, I have lived in Australia since 1974 and my home is in Bendigo, Victoria. I am a retired broadcasting executive and although a long time snapper I took up photography in a more serious way about twenty five years ago. Having said that, I am nothing more than an enthusiastic amateur concentrating mainly on travel images.

Some years ago I made the decision to trade my Canon 5D Mk3 and lenses and move to the Fuji system. Initially I purchased the Fujifilm X-T10 with the 18-55mm kit lens. I then traded the Canon gear for the remarkable Fujifilm X-T2 along with the XF 27mm and the XF 14mm lenses for street photography, I purchased the XF 16-55mm and the XF 55-200mm lenses. A more recent acquisition is the XF 50-140mm lens.

After a terminal accident the X-T10 was replaced with the X-T20 which I have had for a few years now - it is ideal for street photography and general walking about.

Both cameras are in my bag at all times with post processing carried out primarily in Lightroom. I also use NIK Software, OnOne and when I am feeling particularly adventurous - Photoshop.

The images under the "places" tab are for sharing with family and friends (and anyone else who may be interested) and whilst care has been taken with composition and exposure they should be seen as a record of my travels. Images under the "gallery" tab are the result of an attempt to improve the standard of my photography.
